1. Scope
Defines the institute's certification levels, examination rules and the obligations of certified persons.
2. Normative requirements
2.1 Certification levels: FO-A Foundation Technician; FO-B Installation & Testing Professional; FO-C Network Design Specialist. Each level requires the preceding level.
2.2 Examinations comprise 100 questions drawn from the controlled question bank across defined domains; duration 120 minutes; pass mark 70%. Question content is confidential; disclosure is grounds for revocation.
2.3 Certificates are valid for 3 years and carry a unique reference and verification token; verification is available publicly through the institute portal.
2.4 Certified persons shall work within the scope of their level, apply institute standards FOI-S-001 through FOI-S-009 where contracted, and report material non-compliance they cannot resolve.
2.5 Revocation applies for fraud, exam misconduct, or repeated critical audit findings; reinstatement requires re-examination.
2.6 Renewal requires passing the current examination for the level, or a bridging assessment where the institute publishes one.
3. Acceptance criteria
A person is certified when the examination is passed under controlled conditions, identity is verified, and the certificate record is active in the institute registry.
